How do i delete an old file, that refuses to be deleted?

I removed norton antivirus from my computer, and now i'm trying to put a new virus protection program on my computer, and that programe told me i had old files of norton antivirus on my computer, so i went to the add/remove, and it told me this, "The specified module could not be removed", why? i have to remove it some how but it refuses to remove, the programe is know longer in my computer, why wont the remove, does, anyone know why this is, and how to remove it.

I do have windows vista, I loved it at first, but now that i have 89 problems with out solutions, i don't like it any more, but its what i have now, i guess i have to deal with it.
