Where do Limewire downloads go when I turn off my computer?

When I turn off my computer, the Lwire icon remains both on my desktop %26 in the start menu, but when I click on either, nothing comes up. It's not because I'm using an unapproved Lwire site. Are the songs still in my computer somewhere? Are virus protection programs deleting them? Thank you.

Hi,

The first thing you are doing wrong is by using LimeWire, believe me you are just asking for someone to infect your P.C with Virus's by using it as your PTP.

I use Limewire too and have to use the search function on my computer to find the music I have downloaded. After you find them you can click on them once and another program will open it up (mine is iTunes) then it will be stored in that program and you won't have to search for them anymore. Hope this helps.
When you turn off your computer?? you should have nothing on the screen!

Limewire is a shareware type of service that shouldn't remain active after you have closed out of the application. Tweak some of the settings in the program itself. It should give you some type of options to turn off sharing your own music which I take it is located under my music on your machine. you could try uninstalling and then reinstalling the program. pending on your virus settings those shouldn't affect it either.
where do you tell them to go when you download? search your computer for a songs name likely you'll find the rest too.
