On lost season 2 I believe? do you remeber when locke and desmond blew up the hatch?

they blew up the hatch and the sky turned purple remeber at that time a ship was out at sea somewhere in a snowy place they recieved a blimp on the radar and called penny and said we found it or him? I don't know if they were in the artic region of the world or what but if the island is in the south pacific, how can a ship in the artic recieve a signal from the island? the writers have a lot of explaining to do. also in the Lost missing pieces webisode on abc.com. a man wearing white tennis shoes tells vincent to go find jack this took place when the plane first crashed ( they did not show this in the original episode only in the Lost missing pieces webisode) is that person supposed to be jacob? because a guy wearing white shoes appears in jacobs cabin in the episode when hurley saw the cabin. and one more question, what exactly are Lost missing pieces, they seem to take place before the episodes that airs. the'' Envelope'' webisode is that a flash forward or backward for juliet?

I'm not really sure about the whole arctic thing. The guy that tells Vincent to go find Jack is Jack's dad. Even though Jack's dad is dead. He died in Australia and Jack was transporting the body back on the plane when it crashed. It does appear that he was the one in the cabin when Hurley came across it, although he's not necesarily Jacob. As Hurley was looking at the guy with the tennis shoes through the window, another person popped up right in front of the winow and that person could've been Jacob. The Lost missing pieces are exactly that, missing pieces. They are little things that happened in between episodes that we missed.
